Non-woven fabric has become popular in developed countries around the world, and in the past 5 years, it has become familiar to people and businesses in various industries. However, to achieve desired and high-quality products, it is necessary to understand the production process of non-woven fabric.
The term "non-woven" gives users some understanding of this type of fabric. Non-woven fabric has a grid-like structure, consisting of many cells interconnected by fibers and covered with a layer that passes through the bonded fiber system.
Non-woven fabric products come in various colors.
Let's explore the non-woven fabric production process (PP nonwoven) at our Hapack277 factory.
The production process of non-woven fabric goes through several stages, including:
Stage 1: Melting PP plastic to create non-woven fabric fibers
Unlike conventional fabrics, non-woven fabric is not created through traditional weaving methods. PP plastic beads are melted at high temperatures. After the melting process, they are fed into a mesh-making machine to create fabric fibers.
Stage 2: Hot rolling machine produces non-woven fabric by aligning the fabric fibers vertically
The fundamental difference between woven and non-woven fabric is that woven fabric is created by weaving fabric fibers, while non-woven fabric uses a hot rolling machine to heat the fabric fibers, aligning them in a vertical direction.

After creating rolls of non-woven fabric, if customers demand to purchase these rolls for their use, the rolls will be wrapped in nylon, packaged, and delivered to the buyer.
If the products require printing, these rolls of fabric will be passed through a printing machine to apply the desired designs.
After the printing process, the rolls of fabric will be taken to the Non-woven Sewing Department.
In there, workers will outline and cut the fabric according to the patterns, and then proceed to sew the bags.
Step 1: Fabric Pattern Making
Upon receiving the customer's order, the workshop staff will use chalk to directly draw the pattern onto the fabric material used for sewing the fabric bags.
Step 2: Fabric Cutting
After layering multiple pieces of fabric together, the fabric cutter will place the pattern template on top of the stacked material and proceed to cut along the pattern lines.
The cutter's task at this step is to carefully follow the chalk lines with the blade of the cutting machine. They must pay special attention and be careful to avoid cutting inaccurately, or causing any professional accidents while cutting the fabric.
In larger-scale garment factories, fabric cutting is typically done with the assistance of cutting machines to ensure quick and precise cutting.
Step 3: Sewing the Non-Woven Fabric Bag
After the fabric is cut into individual components of the bag, the parts that require printing or embroidery will be selected and sent for printing or embroidery. Once the printed or embroidered parts are ready, they will be transferred to the sewing department to assemble the bag parts into a complete bag.
Sewing non-woven fabric bags is not as challenging as sewing garments; however, it does require specific technical standards.
Step 4: Quality Inspection
Quality control personnel will examine the stitching on the bag to ensure it is neat, even, and free from any defects. If there is any excess stitching, it will be trimmed to maintain a clean appearance.
Step 5: Product Finishing
The packaging department performs actions such as smoothing or flattening the bags to ensure they are wrinkle-free and presentable. Then, the bags are folded and placed into packaging, sealed, and delivered to the customers who placed the bag orders.
The production of non-woven fabric bags involves multiple stages and various processes. When you choose non-woven fabric bags, you are essentially selecting the production process itself.
